Dave surprised me with a pandora bead in the car as we left - a suitcase to remember the trip by - how sweet is he!!!
First stop Bathurst for morning tea and the first stop of the skate across Australia tour...
I drove from Bathhurst to Cowra - the first time I've ever driven with the van. I was a little nervous to start off with but quickly settled in. The big blue tongue I ran over is probably wishing I settled in a littler quicker though (still feeling bad about running over him - with all 3 wheels - RIP Mr Bluey).
Lunch at Grenfel at the lookout, with the cleanest toilets ever!!!
We arrived at our overnight stop at 2.30pm which was way to early. The camp stop was literally by the train line and opposite the pub so we decided to keep on going. Here we are now at Goolgowi..
The road is long and endless - it just keeps on going.....
But the silence and the wide open spaces is mesmerizing - we are less than 10 hours from home but the contrast is amazing.
Looking forward to more adventures tomorrow.
