Remember to hold onto your shirt.

This morning was a repeat of yesterday - 3 kids off to skatepark, me off for a walk.  I actually managed to run 4kms as well as a walk- going to be sore tomorrow as I haven't run for months!!!

After a quick breakfast we headed off to the Torndirrup National Park.  The information plaques here tell you that many of the rocks here and the positions that there in have been left behind from when Australia separated from Antarctica.  Apparently they have similar rocks in the closest point to here in Antarctica where the continents were once joined.

Whilst here we visited..

Natural Bridge

The Gap - a 25 metre sheer drop to the ocean.

Cable Beach
The big rock that you can see balancing in the middle of the photo was placed there after big seas by the ocean.  It is estimated to weigh 100 tonnes - about as much as a diesel locamotive!

and finally The Blow holes.

Now I must warn those of you with sensitive eyes that the below photo may offend some viewers.  The blow hole wasn't blowing water today as the seas weren't big enough however it was blowing plenty of air...

It nearly blew my tshirt off causing me to flash my bra at everyone!!

Life doesn't always go to plan and people don't always get on.  The kids have struggled today with being away and the lack of routine and the close quarters that we are all living in.  The endless bickering and picking at each other finally got to Dave and I and we both cracked.  All is good now and we shall continue on.  Someone said to us before we left "7 weeks in a car/van and your family will either be bonded or busted". For a while their today we were looking busted but as the sun sets on another day we head off to bed bonded.

We headed back into town for a spot of retail therapy.  Last night I did the washing and since each load costs $5 I didn't separate my colours - needless to say I turned several items pink - not all over pink rather blotchy wishy washy unattractive pink - good excuse for some new tops I think!!

This afternoon we tried again for Dave to get a surf in and drove out to Nanarup Beach, we passed some massive lizards on the road on the way out and back - sadly for Dave the surf gods are still sleeping and his surf will have to wait for another day.

We head off from here in the morning so had to replenish supplies.  Dave has also managed to fit an insect protector to the front of the car this afternoon so hopefully we are now a little more protected from the pesky locusts.
